Musings of a Woman in Grief

I’m a 39 year old mother of two, coping with the aftermath of the sudden demise of my family due to all sorts of failings. My own and my partner’s. These entries are my way of reckoning with, wrestling with, and learning to live with the new shape of my life.

In other words here you’ll find me unpacking, salvaging, collecting, and sometimes throwing away as I work through losing the love of my life, my dream of family, and ultimately, my own self to an unhealthy relationship.

This is a hopeful place. Grief is part of the human journey, and I am its (mostly) willing student.

Joy comes in the morning.

And if I’m really paying attention, I sense it comes in the dark night too.
